Biography

A first generation American and Tampa native, Carol Bello spent most of her childhood in Colombia before migrating to Florida with her family. She is fluent in Spanish. Carol has a passion for helping others and strives to ensure that every client’s question is answered and their needs are met.

After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Florida State University in 2017, Ms. Bello was admitted to Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where she obtained her Juris Doctor and graduated in the top 10% of her class with Honors.

During law school, she served as Associate Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review, was a Dean’s Fellow, Secretary of the Student Bar Association, and President of the Hispanic Organization of Legal Advocates.

Before attending law school, Ms. Bello worked as a legal assistant at a workers compensation law firm, where she witnessed firsthand the injustices and barriers faced by injured workers navigating the workers’ compensation system. Inspired to advocate more directly for those in need, she decided to attend law school so she could fight for fair treatment and ensure injured workers received the benefits and medical care they deserved.

During law school, Ms. Bello continued working as a legal assistant, gaining valuable practical insight that strengthened her foundation as a future workers’ compensation attorney. Since becoming an attorney, she has handled cases involving treatment denials, delayed care, and disputed benefits, and has secured positive outcomes for her clients through diligent advocacy and strategic case development.

Ms. Bello is committed to serving her community. She volunteers with Bay Area Legal Services, assisting pro se litigants with family law forms and providing translation services for Spanish-speaking individuals seeking legal help. She also dedicates her time to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, where she assists the veterinary department with translation, walks dogs, and helps animals find their forever homes.

Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Ms. Bello enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and watching reruns of Shark Tank.
